Perfect Beauty

Perfect Beauty
8th August – 6th Sept ‘08

‘Perfect Beauty’ will run from Aug 8th-Sept 7th, 2008 at Lumière Gallery, Cottesloe, and features original paintings by Liz Gray, Carole Scott & Sim Campbell-Pope.

Each artist uses a different medium and style to portray her own concept of beauty and perfection. Liz Gray’s oil painting of a young girl lounging on a couch engrossed in a book (The Poetry Reading) not only displays luscious rich contrasting colours, beauty itself, but leaves the viewer wondering about the poetry and remembering perfect moments of relaxation.

Sim Campbell-Pope’s quirky pop art images in vibrant acrylic colours include a painting of stockinged legs with red toenails, a cheeky beach belle and several unusual, arresting nude studies, which expand the meaning of beauty.

Carole Scott’s pastels include traditional portraits and tasteful nudes in soft shades and delicate lines.
