Louise Macfie is fascinated by the Australian landscape and the way it changes according to season, area and time of day. She abstracts these images focusing on the hot dry reds of the interior, the softer hues of the north west Pilbara coast, or the meditative colours of late evening.

Jan Quinn’s paintings are highly structured with a strong use of line and texture, reflecting an urban landscape. She has worked a lot with textiles in the past and that influence is also evident. She uses a limited palette to intensify the effect and to highlight the detail and textural elements.
