Penelope Bladen
Penny began her art career training in textile design and printing in Sydney. She spent many years as a graphic artist working in the clothing industry, designing textiles and garments for children as well as doing illustrations for advertising. Making the change to interior design, in the last ten years Penny has worked in her own business, designing and fitting out many display homes, apartments and private residences in Perth. She has won many awards for her display homes.
After much experience in design and decoration, Penny has finally made the switch to fine art. Working mostly in oils, she exhibited at last year’s Royal Agricultural show and is working toward an exhibition next year. She also exhibits on the Gold Coast.
Penny loves strong, dramatic themes of the land and sea and prefers painting large panoramas which give a feeling of space and light.
