Marion Milton
“I have had an affinity with life viewed through a lens, my whole life. I aim to capture the beauty and essence of a place, so it can be enjoyed over and over.”
While the basic skills of aperture, focus and framing were learnt under her Father’s tutelage, she loved to experiment, discovering the properties of film and perspective as she developed her skills. Over the years Marion has taken numerous photography courses including travel photography, portraiture, darkroom and digital techniques.
Overseas travel initiated her desire to concentrate on travel photography, which she has done since 1992. She has been encouraged and influenced by the photography and workshops of Nick Melidonis, an acclaimed Master photographer. Marion has had travel pieces and photos published in newspapers and magazines. Other work includes a documentary style portfolio of behind the scenes concert preparation and performance for the Academy of Ballet and Performance and most recently, a fashion shoot for new Melbourne based designer, Kiki Stays Kiki.
