Greg James, born in Perth, Western Australia in 1954, has maintained a full time professional sculpture studio for the past twenty years and continues to specialise in figurative sculpture.

After graduating from Claremont School of Art in 1974 he embarked on a two year study tour of Europe. On returning to Western Australia he established a unique studio foundry facility that is now situated at Bathers Beach in Fremantle.

While Greg’s involvement in international exhibitions and commissions actively promotes Australian art, he has maintained a continuous presence in West Australian art through exhibitions and artworks in public places.

Greg’s collectable and unique bronze sculptures celebrate the beauty and sensuality of the human form, while his many public sculptures that grace Fremantle and Perth attest to his attention to detail and his ability to capture the essence of his subjects.
